Question: 2000 hyundai elantra gls 1.6?

Broke timing belt yesterday while driving, pulled valve cover today and found all the shims contacting cam lobes on all the exhaust valves, but none of the shims were touching any of the cam lobes on the intake side, (on all intake valves there was a 1/ 8 gap between shim and lobe), so I am asking with the same gap ibetween the shim and lobe did I bend all 8 intake valves?

I'm not sue how many valve have bent but, for sure you have bent at least 4 of them. You have in total 12 valves and usually 4 gets bent. All this because it is an interference engine, typically designed by Mitsubishi. To be sure, just do a compression test and it will show you immediately which one are bent. Either way, 8 or 4 valve bent you will have to do a "head " job, replacing valves & guides. While you're there, replace the valve seals and machine the Cylinder head. This way you will know that the top of the engine is completely trouble free. Good luck.
